Studio 55

Studio 55 offers our students a platform for creative expression, fostering the growth and promotion of artistic talent. We encourage art students to explore their potential through participation in different intra-school activities such as painting murals, creating our own notebooks and tote bags, and introducing them to renowned artists during workshops who can share their artistic endeavours. Moreover, to provide maximum exposure to the world of the arts, we send students to inter-school art events – such as Aitchison Artfest, LGS 1/A-1’s Grammathon, LGS Paragon’s Grammarfest, and JT Artography, where we have previously received multitudes of awards and Best Delegation trophies – and encourage participation in national competitions such as Little Artbeat. Our own inter-disciplinary event, Studio 55, has devised a caricature of all creative fields the mind can dream up, attracting delegates from all over the city; the art categories involve Still Life, Live Drawing, Thematic Art, Fashion Illustration, and Graffiti. We aim to revive the essence of art and bring it to the forefront, giving students the opportunity and facilities they require in order to hone the skills they learn and excel in the abilities they are gifted with.
With Studio 55 and all our other accomplishments, we hope to leave behind a legacy that generations of artists at 55 Main will carry on!
