Assesment
In Middle School we follow a two term system. Classes 7 and 8 students sit exams at the end of each term. Exam marks make up 70% of their grades; 30% is made up of class assessments, assignments, and class participation. The first term is from August to December and the second term is from January to June.
Students in class 6 will continue to be graded as they have been in Junior School, through a series of on-going assessments of their course work, homework, class assignments and class participation. There will be NO exams in class 6.
From August 2015, students of Class 6 will be introduced to Global Perspectives where they will explore stimulating topics that have global significance. They will assess information critically and learn to collaborate with individuals from different cultures, communities, or countries. The syllabus emphasizes the development and application of skills rather than the acquisition of knowledge. These skills will be useful for further study and for developing our students as active citizens of the future. LGS 55 Main encourages awareness of global problems and offers opportunities to explore possible solutions through cooperation and collaboration. The course is not about getting everybody to think identically; rather it is a matter of opening minds to the great complexity of the world and of human thought, and opening hearts to the diversity of human experience and feeling.

Extra Curricular Activities:
We believe in developing well rounded personalities and these activities are as important as the curricular. Singing, aerobics, martial arts and dance are an integral part of the school program. In summer we have swimming and in winter this is replaced by two weekly periods of games.
Community Service:
The importance of community service is instilled from an early age. Children are encouraged to contribute to bake sales and the money collected is given to the Pakistan Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled (PSRD) on their behalf. This programme helps to support 12 students each year and pays for their education, transport, treatment and upkeep.
