The Reunion
School reunions serve as invaluable opportunities for alumni to reconnect and reminisce, fostering a sense of community and belonging among former classmates. These gatherings provide a platform to catch up on each other’s lives and share experiences gained since leaving 55 Main.
Reunions also serve as occasions for personal and professional networking. Alumni often find themselves in various stages of their careers, with diverse experiences and expertise to offer. The reunion is the perfect setting for exchanging ideas, exploring potential collaborations, or even discovering new career opportunities.
At 55 Main, we celebrate Reunions! Graduates from all over the country and around the world join us. Together we pay tribute to the institution we call home, matching our efforts in making our Reunions truly memorable to the level of affection and nostalgia that brings alumni back year after year.
The Alumni Relations and Media Societies join forces to plan an event that celebrates students’ talents be it dance, music, comedy, or drama. They design school memorabilia such as stickers, mugs, hoodies, keychains, and notebooks to celebrate the occasion.
Each year we hope that our audience is reminded of all the wonderful memories they have made during their time at 55. The Reunion is also great reminder of some of the values we learn at 55: teamwork, tolerance, compassion, respect for one another, and service to the community. It is celebration of our common love for the school. It reinforces that here at 55 Main, those who leave are never forgotten!
By coming together periodically, alumni reaffirm their connection to the school and contribute to its ongoing narrative, reinforcing the sense of pride and identity associated with their alma mater. In essence, school reunions serve as bridges between the past, present, and future, uniting alumni in a shared celebration of their educational journey and the bonds that continue to bind them together.
